Solution with HPMC lubricant
One of the moisturizers, HPMC lubricant, is contained in the solution which is found in the case where the contact lens is stored. Its effects can be felt immediately after the application of the lens. The other moisturizers, hydrophilic PEG (Polyethylene glycol) and moisturizing PVA (Polyvinyl alcohol), are contained in the material from which the lens is made. The PVA is released from the lens all day with each blink.
